[ Clarissa couldn’t as Robin hugged Mindy tightly, as though he could tell that that was what she needed. And she felt a sudden ache for someone to hug her. She shook it away and simply watched curiously, expecting one of them to just snap and make a comment. ]
“They’re not hurting her. I promise.” He murmured, running his fingers through her hair, trying to get her to calm down, how stupid, of course she wouldn’t calm down.
[ But neither of them did, and that’s when it hit her just how bad this was. ]
“I’m so sorry about Dave, and Marcus.”
[ Oh god she couldn’t watch this. She couldn’t watch Mindy find out that the only two people they had left were dead. But she couldn’t run away either. ]
“If she wasn’t hurting they would let me in."
[ As odd as it was for the two to be so close, it was nice. If Dave couldn’t be here to comfort her, she was glad Robin was – He was close enough. At his words though, she quickly pulled away, shaking her head in denial as she stepped back. The tears continuing to run down her cheeks. She started and now she couldn’t stop. ]
"No – Dave is fine, Marcus is fine.”
[ Now it made sense to her why she hadn’t been called for either of them. They were dead. There was no reason to call her. Running her fingers through her hair, she leaned back against the wall before sliding down, bringing her knees up to her chest and hugging them tightly. ]
